The rollover crash near MN Hwy. 95 shut down the interstate's eastbound lanes Monday night.

According to the report on the incident by the Minnesota State Patrol:

A 68-year man from Baldwin driving the first vehicle was going straight ahead in the eastbound center lane when he saw something black in the roadway ahead. He braked and swerved to the right.

The driver of the semi-trailer truck, a 39-year-old man from Moose Lake, WA, was traveling in the right lane when the first vehicle swerved into his path, hitting the truck's front left bumper.

The first vehicle spun out.

The truck driver braked in an effort to avoid further contact with the first vehicle but lost control and hit the guard rail on the right side of the road.

The semi cab and trailer rolled over, landing on their sides. The cab of the semi was off the chassis and the trailer was broken open, spilling some of its content onto the roadway. (KSTP.com reported the truck was hauling frozen seafood.)

The driver of a third vehicle traveling in the center lane, a 20-year-old woman from Durand, applied her brakes but lost control of the vehicle, hit the side of the semi truck and spun out.

The driver of the first vehicle was transported to the hospital in his hometown of Baldwin with minor injuries. The truck's driver and passenger were taken to Hudson Hospital, also with minor injuries. The driver of the third vehicle did not go to the hospital.

Eastbound I-94 was temporarily closed at Manning Avenue because of the crash. Travelers posted on Twitter that they were delayed by as much as two hours.
