Where the MN SUV Jumped the Curb to Hit the Octagon House

The vehicle careened off of Third Street, over a stump and into the historic home's front porch.

Here's a photo showing the leaf-filled wheel ruts where an SUV jumped the curb and a big maple tree stump and crashed into Hudson's Octagon House Museum early Saturday. 

The SUV was traveling southbound on Third Street, according to Hudson Police Chief Marty Jensen, who said two witnesses saw the vehicle was going "at a pretty good speed then abruptly turned left" into the Octagon House. 

The driver fled on foot but police haven't found the person they suspect in the crash. They do, however, have the SUV the suspect left behind—with a wallet inside
