Election 2011: Spring Election is Today; State Supreme Court, Many Local Races to be Decided

Hudson voters will see Wisconsin Supreme Court justice candidates and Board of Education candidates on the ballot. Depending on the municipality, some voters may choose a town board member, trustee, alderperson, judge and more.

Statewide and Regional Races

Voters in all Wisconsin munipalities can cast ballots for one of the two state Supreme Court justice candidates and those in Wisconsin Court of Appeals District III can cast a ballot in an uncontested race.

Hudson School District Race

Every voter in Hudson School District will see the Board of Education race on his or her ballot. The three-way race will end with two winners.

Hudson City Races

Hudson city voters in three of the six city districts will have the opportunity to vote for an alderman candidate. Two races are contested, while one candidate is running unopposed.

North Hudson Village Races

Residents of North Hudson village can cast a ballot for village president, municipal judge and up to three trustees. It appears, unless there is a strong last-minute, write-in candidate, that all the village candidates will emerge from the election victorious.

Hudson Town Races

Hudson town residents will have the opportunity to vote for town chairman and two of the town's supervisors, but none of the races are contested.

St. Joseph Town Races

St. Joseph town residents have some important decisions to make. They have a chance to choose among seven candidates for four of the town's leadership positions. Races for town chair, clerk/treasurer and one of the town supervisor seats are all contested. Only one of the seven candidates is running unopposed.
