Hudson Common Council Holds Annual Reorganization Meeting for 2012
Council welcomes Kurt TeWinkel. Alan Burchill, Mary Yacoub, Lori Bernard and Sue Gherty begin new terms. Rich Vanselow is elected council president in a 4-2 vote.
The held its annual reorganization meeting Tuesday, April 17, 2012, in the council chamber at to welcome the newly elected council members and municipal judge, and to allow Mayor Alan Burchill to appoint people to various committees, boards and commissions.
City Clerk Nancy Korson administered the oath of office to District 2 Alderperson Mary Yacoub, District 3 Alderperson Lori Bernard, District 4 Alderperson Kurt TeWinkel and Municipal Judge Sue Gherty. All four were elected in the .
The council voted 4-2 to elect District 6 Alderperson Rich Vanselow as council president.

After the council quickly voted to approve all his appointment recommendations, Burchill said, "As we start our new year, I'm really excited about the folks we have, and again hopefully we can do a lot of our work in committee form and get a lot of heavy lifting done there."
