Hudson Voter Turnout in November 2012 Election Was Highest Ever

More than 7,200 city residents voted in the presidential election last week — 77.26 percent of those registered turned out to cast their ballot.

Voters in the City of Hudson set a record for the highest turnout for an election last week with more than 77 percent turnout.

According to a City of Hudson memo from City Administrator Devin Willi and City Clerk Nancy Korson, 7,212 city residents cast ballots on Nov. 6 — a turnout of 77.26 percent of all registered voters.

The previous high number was set in the last presidential election with 7,054 voters in November 2008. The previous high turnout percentage was 77.01 percent back in November 1992.
