RECALL PRIMARY ELECTION GUIDE: Sample Ballot, Candidate Info, Polling Places

Voters decide on Tuesday, May 8, which candidates will move on to the Wisconsin recall general election on June 5, in the attempt to recall Gov. Scott Walker and Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch.

This election guide will give you the information you need to get to the right place at the right time to cast your ballot in the Wisconsin recall primary elections on Tuesday, May 8, 2012. There are five polling places in Hudson and they're all open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Looking for some sample ballots? St. Croix County Clerk Cindy Campbell sent us one from the Village of Star Prairie, but all ballots in the county will be the same for this election. Just click on the PDF attached to this post.

WHERE TO VOTE

The polls for all districts open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. Need to know which district you're in? Just locate your home on our fancy color-coded voting district map.

Hudson Town Hall 
Town of Hudson voters can cast their ballots at .

Village of North Hudson
Village of North Hudson voters can cast their ballots at .

Hudson City Hall
City of Hudson voters who live in District 1 or District 5 can cast their ballots at .

St. Croix County Government Center
City of Hudson voters who live in District 2 or District 6 can cast their ballots at the  Community Room (enter near the jail).

Hudson United Methodist Church
City of Hudson voters who live in District 3 or District 4 can cast their ballots at the  Fellowship Hall.

ON THE BALLOT

GOVERNOR

Voters can choose to vote in the Republican race or the Democratic race, but not both. Ballots with votes in both parties will not be tallied and voters will be notified of an over vote.

The winners of the two party primaries will face off in the June 5 recall general election along with , an independent.

LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR

Voters can choose a candidate in the Democratic Party race for lieutenant governor regardless of which party they voted for in the governor race. There is no Republican primary in the lieutenant governor race.

The winner of the Democratic primary will face Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch in the June 5 recall general election.
