UPDATE: Repaving Work on Coulee Road Completed

Paving work was completed on Friday, Sept. 23, but the street still lacks a yellow center line and lane markers.

About a month after work began on Coulee Road, the street has been smoothed out with a much-needed new surface. Repaving was completed on Friday, Sept. 23, but the street still lacks the necessary yellow center lines, white shoulder lines and other markings.

Workers placed orange barrels, cones and signs along Coulee Road on Thursday, Aug. 18, in preparation for a much-needed road improvement project on Coulee from 11th Street to .

Dennis Postler of Foth Engineering said work could begin any time on the first phase of the project, which includes repairs to curbs, gutters, storm sewers and catch basins along the street. There will be minimal impact to motorists and businesses during this phase.

Two to four weeks later, the second phase of the project will begin. Workers will mill two inches of pavement from the street and re-pave it shortly afterward. There will be occasional delays and backups during this phase of the project.
