VIDEO: City Council Completes Meeting in Six Minutes

One new business item passed with no discussion in less than 15 seconds in a very efficient city meeting.

At its June 11 meeting, the Common Council raced through its agenda in just over six minutes.

Much of the time—nearly two minutes—was taken by City Clerk Nancy Korson reading aloud the meeting's consent agenda and taking a roll call vote on it.

An update on projects lasted nearly a minute as Public Works Director Tom Zeuli took the microphone to tell the council that a segment of Heggen Street had been patched from a construction project there.

The only new business item on the agenda was a request to build a fence in an easement area on Canary Way, which passed without discussion in less than 15 seconds.

Communications from the mayor and other council members lasted just over a minute as Hudson Mayor Alan Burchill read a thank-you note from the historical society and announced that the city's Concerts in the Park series had been set.
