Hudson High School Collecting “Pop Tabs for Peace”

As part of the Holocaust unit in modern world history, students are again collecting pop tabs for the Ninth Annual “Pop Tabs for Peace” event.  With each pop tab representing 50 victims, students will try and visualize the magnitude of the Holocaust through this activity.  All pop tabs are then donated to local charities.

During the past eight years more than 1 million pop tabs have been collected; this year’s goal is to break last year’s record-setting 300,000 tabs.

The last day for this year’s collection/delivery is Friday, May 25.

Donated pop tabs can be dropped off in Matt Friedl’s classroom (Hudson High School, Room 234).  If you have any questions or comments, you may contact Friedl at 377-3800 ext 6234 or at friedlmj@hudson.k12.wi.us.
