How'd They Know? Hudson School District Had Already Scheduled No Classes Monday

The official district 2013–14 school calendar has long called for no school on Jan. 27, 2014.

While other school districts such as Stillwater's struggle with whether to call off classes next week when temperatures are predicted to plunge again, the Hudson School District is sitting pretty: Officials decided long ago that Monday, Jan. 27 would be a day off for students. It's a scheduled "Teacher Professional Development" day.

Teachers receive full time pay and benefits for 8 months of labor while their employers slave all year long to provide for their laxed schedule.
