Hudson Patch to Host Second School Board Candidate Forum

Hudson Patch will host a school board candidate forum with the four candidates at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, at the Phipps Center for the Arts. The entire community is invited to submit questions via email and attend the event.

Hudson Patch will host a school board candidate forum with all four candidates at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, at the Phipps Center for the Arts. Hudson Patch Editor Micheal Foley will host the event and act as moderator.

The entire community is invited to attend and participate in the forum, which is possible because local business owner Paul Rode paid the Phipps rental fees. The River Channel Hudon/North Hudson Community Access TV will tape the debate for later airing on Comcast cable's Channel 15. The station also will post a YouTube video of the event, which will appear on Hudson Patch.

The Candidates

Jeanette Kunz, Jamie Johnson Bruce Hanson and Jim Schrock have qualified for the April 2 general election by placing in the top four during the Feb. 19 primary.

Submit Your Questions

In an effort to ensure the best questions are asked at the debate, Hudson Patch is reaching out to its user community to suggest debate questions. Users can send an email to foleymo@patch.com with the "DEBATE QUESTION" in the subject line. Please only submit general questions about the issues that can be addressed by all the candidates. In order to keep the forum fair for all candidates, questions specific to just one candidate won't be asked at the forum.

This event will be the third such candidate forum or debate put on by Hudson Patch, and it will follow a similar format with timed responses to questions from the moderator. The first was a debate between State Senate Recall candidates Shelly Moore and Sheila Harsdorf in July 2011. The second was a mayoral debate between candidates Scot O'Malley and Alan Burchill in March 2012.
