Update: Cold Cancels Classes Monday in Hudson School District

Original post
: The Hudson School District has not yet decided whether to cancel classes due to extreme weather on Monday. But parents will learn the district's decision by 10 p.m. on Sunday, according to a statement posted at the district website

"Due to the National Weather Service’s predicted wind chill warning for Monday, January 6th, the district will be providing families with an Alert message on Sunday, January 5th before 10 p.m. to let them know if there will be a late start or cancellation of school and activities on Monday. Families may want to make tentative arrangements for Monday childcare if needed. The decisions made by the district to delay or cancel school are made with the safety of students as a high priority. Please know that regardless of the district’s decision, parents have the right to decide to keep their student(s) home when they feel weather conditions are too risky."

Kids safety should be top priority - close the schools.

It's unfortunate that WI can not be as decisive as MN...how nice for the parents in the Twin City schools to have time to plan and prepare for closed schools on Monday.
