School Board Candidate Jeanette Kunz Introduces Self to Hudson Voters

Jeanette Kunz is the third of five Hudson school board candidates to issue a press release. In her release, Kunz expresses her commitment to solving the district's short-term space problems.

The deadline for filing to run for a seat on the Hudson School District Board of Education was Jan. 2. Of the five candidates running for two seats, Jamie Johnson and Bruce Hanson each issued press releases announcing their intentions to run. Over the weekend, candidate Jeanette Kunz became the third.

Kunz sent the following news release to Hudson Patch:

Jeanette Kunz has announced her candidacy for a seat on the Hudson School Board. Kunz emphasizes “I fully understand the importance of providing our youth a competitive education that prepares them for a global world, which is a daunting task in the current economic environment. I am pursuing this position with a commitment to maximize student achievement while promising fiscal responsibility to the community. In particular, I plan to address the short term space solutions that have, for the most part, been neglected thus far.  Ideally, this will tie into a sensible long term space plan as well. I firmly believe that teacher inclusion is imperative to formulate strategic planning from the bottom up, rather than top down. The Board of Education is thirsting for leadership who can accomplish a transformation that will enhance collaboration and results for all stakeholders.”
