Friends of the Hudson Library is holding a book sale in the lobby of the Library on November 7-10 (Wed-Sat), from 10:00 AM until the Library closes each day.  Proceeds from this book sale go to support the Library.  Friends of the Library's mission is to enhance, expand, and promote our Library’s programs, services, and resources. If your home already has more books than you have room for, donate those that you no longer want to Friends of the Library and you will have space for the books you find at the book sale.  Friends of the Library is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, so books that you donate are tax deductible.

the library sent out request for donations earlier this year and I sent them some money. I have donated books to them for many years - when they were still in the other bldg - they sell them to make money. Where have you been that you don't know about any of this? They appear to be very pro-active in identifying sources of funds other than tax payer dollars.

We don't need criticism...what we need are solutions. Get involved and enjoy all the benefits where you live. One suggestion: Make it simple to donate funds. If a person walks in with a check/cash to donate.....Someone should immediately shake their hand or give them a hug and a receipt.
