senior Nick Larson (152 lbs.) split two matches on the final day of the state wrestling meet on Saturday, Feb. 26, to finish fourth. Larson has the chance to tally a few more victories in next week's state team wrestling tournament in which the Hudson Raiders have qualified for the first time.

Larson earned a berth in the third-place match by beating Sheboygan South junior Branden Capetillo 2-1 in overtime on Saturday morning. In the afternoon, DeForest junior Bryar Harper edged Larson 3-1 in overtime to take third place.

Larson, who is 46-5 on the season, needs just two more wins to tie Cole Tobin's school record of 48 wins in a single season, which he put up twice (2008 and 2009). With a season winning percentage of .902, Larson sits in 24th all time in Hudson wrestling history, according to the Hudson Wrestling Club website
