In November 2011, I was high-lighted in a USA Today article about the prevention of type-2 diabetes. The article was about my success in the YMCA Diabetes Prevention which was offered at the Hudson Y in Spring of 2011.  Using the skills taught in that program (24 small group session/classes) as well as the support of my Diabetes Prevention lifestyle coach and the Hudson YMCA personal training staff, I have lost 80 pounds (and maintained that for 6+ months so far) and changed my lifestyle from a sedentary life to one that is active and on-track for good health. I paid out of pocket when I took this course - and I would do so again.  Since it is currently being offered for free, I want to highly encourage all interested Hudson area community members to consider now the perfect time to start changing your lifestyle and change your health.
