Rake A Difference Day

Community Thread Offers Yard-Raking Assistance to Seniors

This year  Community Thread is  organizing Rake A Difference Day, an initiative that matches seniors and persons with disabilities in the Hudson area to volunteer groups that can assist with yard-raking. We are now accepting applications from individuals who would like volunteer assistance with having their yard raked this year and registration forms from interested volunteers.

Last year, Community Thread organized over 500 volunteers to rake yards for nearly 70 seniors and people with disabilities in Washington County Minnesota. Volunteer groups included families, scout troops, rotary clubs, school groups, companies and neighborhood associations.

If you have questions about having your lawn raked, or if you are interested in volunteering, please contact Lauren Hazensonat 651-439-7434 or lauren@communitythreadmn.org.
