I really like the food here but the service is pretty bad. We ordered salads and drinks. The salads took an incredible length of time to make and cost $10 each. My wife's drink was absolutely terrible. They said it was because they did not use liquor but that was nonsense. They brought a replacement and it tasted the same. We entered the place in good spirits and left feeling terrible. Ruined our night. You have good food but you need better management!

Tonight my sister and I went to Green Mill. What a mistake! We should had known better being that the parking lot was more than half-empty on a Saturday night at 8:00 pm. My sister ordered fettuccine alfredo and I ordered the Bangkok Chicken Salad and substituted steak skewers for the chicken. The food took FOREVER. Please tell me how noodles and sauce or a salad with rare steak can take 45 minutes? When the food finally came the pasta was room-temp, at best, and the steak on the salad was cold. Our server offered to have the kitchen remake it but neither one of us were willing to wait an additional 40 minutes for food that should take 10. The server offered us a free dessert which we declined. We had barely picked at our food. When the bill came they had taken the $2.00 up charge off my salad and comped the pasta. I was NOT going to pay $10.34 for lettuce I didn't touch (I'd only had a few bites of the cold steak). The "manager", Brenna, finally came over with a snotty attitude and said that was the best she could do. I told her I was not going to pay for food that sucked and I didn't have to sit there and wait for it to be remade. We offered to pay for the cup of soup that had come with the pasta and the soda (I had water). She told us to get out of "her" restaurant. As my sister and I walked out there were 4 employees standing at the podium by the door who glared at us as we walked out. Awful restaurant, terrible service, REALLY bad manager! We will never go back.

Today my husband and I ate at your resturant. I remember going to this resturant before and I wasn't very impressed but my husband thought to give it another try as his memory isn't as great. First we were brought to the farthest corner of the resturant despite there being plenty of tables as we passed even on a Friday night at dinner time. My husband and I both ordered the walleye dinner, mine pan fried, his broiled. We waited. No bread arrived as per the menu stated. Finally our server brought us our salad. The salad was FROZEN. It was obvious when she set it down but I thought it was only the cucumbers but at closer inspection i noticed it was also the salad. My husbands also was frozen. When the waitress came back with our entrees, we informed her that the salad was frozen and all we got was an "I'm sorry" My Walley was good, though the tarter was a bit on the peppery side (as my husband also noted) The broccoli was under cooked and very bland even with butter, the mashed potatoes could have used some gravy. My husband's walleye was brought to him skin side up. Though he said it was good, he said mine was better and that who serves walleye skin side up. My husband and I very rarely get to go out with the kids and so this was a treat for us and we both left feeling hungry. Also there was no compinsation given for our frozen salad. no offer of a new one or any discount off. I am once again not impressed with this resturant. Try Keys instead

Your typical chain restaurant. Every time someone convinces me to "give it one more try", I regret my decision. The fool is bland and boring. It's nothing like the original Green Mill was back where it all started in St. Paul.
