I LOVE this store! Lots of exotic offerings (llama, camel, yak, rattlesnake- anyone? :-)) and VERY personable and friendly service. Special orders are no problem either... They also have a fantastic variety of cheeses, plus compotes and other sides that are delish!
Throughout the year, they also offer a number of classes and in-store events such as a chili cook-off. The events I've attended have been a hoot, and the instructors are not only knowledgeable but approachable.
I can't recommend Specialty Meats enough!
As the owner of Croix Valley Sauces, I am certainly biased when it comes to Specialty Meats & Gourmet, as I have been producing my products out of their location for the past two years. I have now moved my business to River Falls, but would like to say that, despite my close relationship to this business, I absolutely love this store as I am a customer as well.
Fantastic selection of locally-produced meats such as chicken, beef and pork, but an amazing array of specialty meats like alpaca, bison, alligator and so much more. I have seen the team at Specialty Meats go out of their way to find anything their customers want - they do a fantastic job with special orders, nothing to big or too small. I also love their selection of hand-cut artisan cheeses and gourmet food products that you will find nowhere else in the area.
I am a lifelong customer and suggest everyone check out this little gem of a store right here in Hudson!
