The Valley House is a family-owned family restaurant on Highway 35 about six miles north of downtown Hudson. It's in a spacious banquet hall right off the highway on the east side of the road. Though most of its business comes from serving weddings, banquets and company functions, it also offers table service. Among the most popular events is a Friday night fish fry every week. It also serves a hamburger that owner Sheena Peterson boasts is "the best in the Valley -- and most of my customers agree." The price range is $9.99-$15 and the dress code is "as casual as you want it to be -- as long as you have shoes."

I went there for my bachelorette party dinner before we jumped on a bus...it took 2 hours to get our food (ordered and to the table) so we were late getting on our bus. The reciepts all had to be hand written, so the paying process took well over 30 minutes. The waitresses excuse was that she had been told that the party was there the whole night. (LIE---she was NEVER told that, and was told the entire process for the whole night...we asked to keep cars there overnight)
