Man Charged With Multiple Sexual Assaults of 14-Year-Old Hudson Girl

A warrant has been issued for a man charged with multiple sexual assaults of a 14-year-old Hudson girl stemming from incidents between October and December.

A Southeast Wisconsin man who has lived in Hudson on-and-off over the past several months has been charged with multiple counts of sexual assault of a child under 16 years of age. James M. Eckhoff, 49, is wanted by authorities and faces five felony sexual assault of a child charges stemming from multiple encounters with a 14-year-old girl where he lived, according to a criminal complaint filed on Jan. 9. Charges: The encounters allegedly occured between October and December of 2012 while the girl's family members were either asleep or away from home, according to the complaint. A warrant has been issued for Eckhoff's arrest, and the Hudson Police Department issued a press release last month asking for the public's help in locating him when…

Morrissette Appointed to State Judicial Conduct Advisory Committee

City of Hudson Alderman Randy Morrissette II says he has always been interested in law, and with this appointment he hopes to gain a better understanding of the court system and the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

City of Hudson District 1 Alderman Randy Morrissette II has recently been appointed as the public member of the State of Wisconsin Judicial Conduct Advisory Committee. The Wisconsin Court System website has the following about the committee: Appointed by the Supreme Court, this committee was created to render formal advisory opinions and give informal advice to judges and judicial officers governed by the Code of Judicial Conduct concerning the compliance of their contemplated or proposed conduct regarding the code. Members are limited to two successive three-year terms. Nine members: six judiciary, one court commissioner, one attorney, one public.
