VIDEO: SUV Crashes Through Hudson Tanning Salon

First responders were called to Touch of Sun Wednesday afternoon (May 1) after a woman’s medical boot got caught on the accelerator, causing her vehicle to crash through the front window of the tanning salon.

No one was injured, Hudson Police Chief Marty Jensen said, but firefighters did extricate the woman from her vehicle.

UPDATE: All Lanes Open After I-94 Crash at Exit 3

All lanes of Interstate-94 have been reopened after a crash near Exit 3 at noon on Sunday.

UPDATE (12:30 p.m., Feb. 24, 2013): The Wisconsin State Patrol is now reporting that all lanes on I-94 are open following a crash that forced them to close two westbound lanes at Exit 3. Traffic on I-94 remains slow from Exit 3 to Exit 10. UPDATE: Name Released of Woman Killed in Highway 35 Crash

A 22-year-old woman was pronounced dead at Hudson Hospital after she crashed into the southbound ditch of Highway 35 just south of Interstate 94 on Friday afternoon.

UPDATE (7:36 a.m., Nov. 26, 2012): Hudson Police have identified the woman killed in Friday's single-vehicle crash as Myrrhia J. Kleinbrook, 22, of River Falls, according to press release updated on Monday morning. According to the release, Kleinbrook was driving north on Highway 35 when her vehicle veered into the median under the Hanley Road overpass. Her four-door car hit the guardrail, crossed the median and both southbound lanes of traffic before hitting a concrete culvert in the west ditch. UPDATED: Forest Lake Man Cited for Careless Driving After Manning Crash

The crash was reported at about 1:36 p.m. Wednesday.

Three people were transported to area hospitals following a two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon on Manning Avenue in May Township. The crash occurred when a 37-year-old Forest Lake man, who was traveling northbound on Manning Avenue, attempted to make a pass and struck a 47-year-old Hudson woman’s vehicle—that was travelling southbound on Manning—head-on, Commander Cheri Dexter of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said. The Forest Lake man, and a 29-year-old Forest Lake woman who was a passenger in his vehicle, were both transported to Regions Hospital. The Hudson woman was transported to Lakeview Hospital. None of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening, Dexter said. The Forest Lake man was cited for careless driving and …

Elderly Woman Loses Control, Crashes Into Mama Maria's, Hits Parked Cars

An 82-year-old Hastings woman lost control of her car and crashed through the patio at Mama Maria's, and took out a tree and two parked cars at Central Bank in North Hudson on Friday afternoon.

Gary Lamers, owner of Mama Maria's Italian Restaurant in North Hudson was in cleanup mode Friday afternoon after a car crashed through his patio and destroyed part of a fence. An 82-year-old Hastings woman lost control of her Ford Fusion while arriving at the restaurant for lunch just after noon on Friday, according to North Hudson Police Chief Mark Richert. The car took out the restaurant's fence, hit the northwest corner of the building, veered across the parking lot, jumped the curb, and struck a tree and two vehicles parked at Central Bank. It may not be her age it could have been a medical condition. There are many ticking time bombs out there driving. Anyone who is epileptic, diabetic, or possibly has a heart condition can be a danger too. I am thankful no one was hurt but it was an accident and they happen even to young people.   more ›

UPDATE: All Lanes Open After Crash on I-94 Bridge Backs Up Traffic

A crash with injuries on the westbound I-94 St. Croix River bridge has closed three lanes and backed up traffic on the freeway.

UPDATE (8:46 a.m., Oct. 2, 2012): Emergency workers have tended to all the injured drivers and passengers. A fuel leak has been contained and all lanes have been reopened to traffic. --- ORIGINAL POST: A crash with injuries at about 7:45 a.m. on the westbound I-94 St. Croix River bridge has closed three lanes and backed up traffic on the freeway.  An initial release from the Wisconsin State Patrol says, "A crash across the river in Minnesota has traffic backed up for several miles in Wisconsin. The crash is blocking the two right lanes , and drivers are being asked to move to the left lane." Crash on I-94 at Highway 95 Backs Up Westbound Traffic

Westbound traffic on I-94 is backed up because of a crash at Highway 95. The area already is seeing heavier than normal amounts of traffic because of the Stillwater Lift Bridge closure.

With the I-94 St. Croix River bridge in Hudson already seeing a lot of extra traffic because of the Stillwater Lift Bridge closure, a Wednesday morning crash on westbound I-94 and Highway 95 has vehicles backed up for miles in Hudson. I know, I was just teasing a bit about the implication that the accident was due to the Stillwater bridge being closed, which always seems to get those commuters riled up, and blaming Stillwater - which has nothing to do with the bridge closure. UPDATE: Police Identify Motorcyclist Killed in Crash

The motorcyclist killed may have been same one police pursued earlier. The westbound bike crashed on County Road E near the Splat Tag Paintball Park and Game Unlimited Hunting Club.

UPDATE (4:55 p.m., Sept. 3, 2012): The motorcyclist killed has been identified at David Boyce, 34, of Baldwin, according to the Wisconsin State Patrol. The crash remains under investigation. --- ORIGINAL POST (1:20 a.m., Sept. 3, 2012): A motorcyclist is dead after a crash just after 10 p.m. on Sunday at County Road E near 103rd Street, according to the Wisconsin State Patrol. According to the State Patrol, the bike may have fled from police earlier, but it was not involved in a chase at the time of the crash. UPDATE: All Lanes Reopened After Single-Vehicle Crash on I-94

A single-vehicle crash is responsible for a lane closure at eastbound mile post 8, an area that has been under significant road construction for several weeks. All lanes were reopened at 1:23 p.m.

UPDATE (1:25 p.m., Aug. 31, 2012): The Wisconsin State Patrol is reporting that all lanes have reopened and the scene was cleared at 1:23 p.m. Still no word on any injuries. --- ORIGINAL POST (1:11 p.m., Aug. 31, 2012): The Wisconsin State Patrol is reporting that the right eastbound lane of I-94 is closed at mile post 8 because of a single-vehicle crash that happened at about 12:35 p.m. There's no word yet on any injuries. Traffic slowed between Exit 4 and Exit 10 because of the incident as well as significant construction in the area.
