Photo Gallery: Octagon House Museum Lights Candles for Special Victorian Christmas Night Tour

The Historic Octagon House Museum got into the holiday spirit on Friday, Dec. 3, by holding a Victorian Christmas Night Tour.

The historic Octagon House Museum held its annual Victorian Christmas Night Tour on Friday, Dec. 3, 2010. The lamp-lit tour features characters dressed in 19th-century garb in each room who explain the history of the Octagon House. This year three houses were set up for viewing for the Victorian Christmas Night—The Octagon House at 1004 Third Street, the Phipps Inn at 1005 Third Street, and the John Lee House at 1319 Fourth Street.  Holiday tours at the Octagon House will be held Dec. 4-19 on Saturdays from noon to 4:30 p.m. and Sundays from 2 to 4:30 p.m. This year's theme is "Christmas in the Early Years."
