Hudson Patch will host a school board candidate forum with all four candidates at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, at the Phipps Center for the Arts. Hudson Patch Editor Micheal Foley will host the event and act as moderator. The entire community is invited to attend and participate in the forum, which is possible because local business owner Paul Rode paid the Phipps rental fees. The River Channel Hudon/North Hudson Community Access TV will tape the debate for later airing on Comcast cable's Channel 15. Just watched the candidate forum and thought Johnson was well prepared and presented strongly. He demonstrated a strong grasp of the reality of the competition our district faces in the hiring and retention of top teaching talent. Vested - we have to work within the sytem we have not the one we wish we had. Stime is right in principle that the open enrollment issue is a non-issue, and that it is disingenuious for any candidate to try to politicize it to garner votes.
