UPDATE (10:20 p.m., Oct. 9, 2012): The Hudson School District Board of Education voted to approve a motion to table multiple policy revision recommendations that drew criticism from board member Sandy Gehrke. The recommendations will be referred to an ad hoc board committee for further study. Sandy Gehrke made the motion and Dan Tjornehoj seconded. On Monday, July 9, Hudson School District Board of Education Attorney Mick Waldspurger interviewed Board Member Sandy Gehrke as part of an investigation, which on July 10, found that Gehrke engaged in improper conversations with a district employee. An independent investigation has found that a member of the Hudson School District Board of Education engaged in improper conversations with a district employee. According to the investigation findings presented to the board at its July 10 meeting by attorney Mick Waldspurger, school board member Sandy Gehrke broke district policy when she directly questioned a district employee about personnel matters.
