Raiders Lacrosse Still Undefeated Beating St. Louis Park 9-3

Hudson varsity lacrosse continued their undefeated season with a victory over St. Louis Park at River Crest Wednesday. Six different Raiders contributed goals in the 9 to 3 win.

Hudson's Davis Drewiske Traded by Los Angeles, Suits Up for Montreal

NHL defenseman Davis Drewiske, a Hudson native, has been traded by the Los Angeles Kings to the Montreal Canadiens.

NHL defenseman Davis Drewiske, a Hudson native, has been traded by the Los Angeles Kings to the Montreal Canadiens for a fifth-round draft pick, according to an Associated Press article published last week on the CBS Los Angeles website. According to the article, Drewiske this season had tallied "one goal and three assists in 20 games and was plus-3 for Los Angeles," and averaged 14:27 of ice time per game. He appeared in a game for the Kings on March 12. In the past week Drewiske already has appeared in four games with the Canadiens. Vikings QB Christian Ponder Marries ESPN's Samantha Steele in Hudson

A Wisconsin newspaper is reporting that the quarterback and the sports reporter were wed on Monday afternoon in St. Croix County Court.

According to 2012 NFL stats, Minnesota Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder isn't exactly threading the needle, but according to a Wisconsin newspaper he has tied the knot. The Eau Claire Leader-Telegram is reporting that Ponder married ESPN reporter Samantha Steele on Monday afternoon at the St. Croix County Government Center in Hudson. The Steele-Ponder relationship was first mentioned in the media just a few months ago on Oct. 20. Red Bull Crashed Ice 2013: Registration Information, New Course Unveiled

Online registration for the Red Bull Crashed Ice event is open until 11:59pm EST on Nov. 21. On Nov. 23, a random drawing will determine who participates in the qualifiers. The finale event in Saint Paul takes place Jan. 24-26.

The world’s fastest ice cross athletes are coming back to Saint Paul this January to compete in Red Bull Crashed Ice. The athletes race four-at-a-time through a "demanding, gritty, glacial downhill course full of turns, canals and chutes," all against the backdrop of the iconic Cathedral of Saint Paul. Red Bull Crashed Ice returns to St. Paul January 24-26, as the second stop on this year’s World Championship tour. To qualify for the St. Paul race, eight regional qualifiers will take place across the U.S. including one in St. Paul, on Sunday, Jan. 6. UPDATE: Raiders Football Playoff Picture; Hudson Next Plays Arrowhead in Schofield

Undefeated Big River Conference champion Hudson has defeated its Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 opponents in the 2012 WIAA football playoffs. Now the Raiders face another undefeated team in Level 4. Hudson Patch will have live video of the game.

UPDATE (2:25 p.m., Nov. 5, 2012): The Minnesota Sports Broadcast Network (MSBN) has obtained exclusive video broadcast rights of Saturday's Hudson vs. Arrowhead game, which is a Division 1 WIAA State Semifinal game.  Hudson Patch will carry the MSBN feed of the Raiders game as it has all season. Safety...That's what they are stating is their reason...Wow Montana schools routinely travel 4 hrs to play ...Anyway it seems the WIAA has a double standard...one for downstate and another for Hudson... They couldn't even get the game closer to Hudson then Appleton North...Why is that?   more ›
