St. Croix County Sheriff: Expect Increased Security Screening at Courthouse

One person was arrested Friday morning after deputies responded to a “potential threat” inside the St. Croix County Government Center in Hudson. Starting Monday access to the government center will require security screening.

UPDATE: Sheriff Confirms Name of Area Mom Who Jumped From I-94 Bridge

Witnesses say the 48-year-old River Falls mom stopped her vehicle on the shoulder of the bridge Thursday morning, left her 11-year-old daughter inside, climbed over the railing and jumped to her death on the frozen St. Croix River.

UPDATE (9:15 a.m., Dec. 28, 2012): St. Croix County Sheriff John Shilts confirmed Friday morning the name of the Pierce County woman who jumped off the I-94 bridge to her death onto the frozen St. Croix River on Thursday after leaving her young daughter in the car. Molly Crumley, 48, of River Falls, pulled onto the shoulder of eastbound I-94 on the St. Croix River bridge, exited her vehicle, climbed over the railing and jumped to her death at about 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 27. O'Connell Family Funeral Home took initial custody of Crumley’s body after recovery crews retrieved it from the river. Funeral arrangements are pending. FBI Releases 2011 Stats for Property, Violent Crimes in Hudson Area

See how violent crimes and property crimes were broken down in Hudson for last year.

The FBI has released 2011 crime statistics for reporting communities across America, including Hudson. The Hudson Police Department saw 12 violent crimes and 501 property crimes last year. The North Hudson Police Department handled 22 property crimes and zero violent crimes in 2011. The St. Croix County Sheriff's Office responded to 19 violent crimes throughout the county, and 474 property crimes last year. All of the statistics, as reported by the FBI, are reported below. UPDATE: Police Identify Motorcyclist Killed in Crash

The motorcyclist killed may have been same one police pursued earlier. The westbound bike crashed on County Road E near the Splat Tag Paintball Park and Game Unlimited Hunting Club.

UPDATE (4:55 p.m., Sept. 3, 2012): The motorcyclist killed has been identified at David Boyce, 34, of Baldwin, according to the Wisconsin State Patrol. The crash remains under investigation. --- ORIGINAL POST (1:20 a.m., Sept. 3, 2012): A motorcyclist is dead after a crash just after 10 p.m. on Sunday at County Road E near 103rd Street, according to the Wisconsin State Patrol. According to the State Patrol, the bike may have fled from police earlier, but it was not involved in a chase at the time of the crash. The driver was headed westbound, toward the four corners of the Town of Hudson, the Town of St. Joseph, the Town of Warren and the Town of Richmond, near the Splat Tag Paintball Park and Game Unlimited Hunting Club.
