What Should Go Here?: Former St. Croix Outpost

In What Should Go Here?, we take a look at a vacant property and ask the community what should go there. What's your vision for this week's space? Let us know in the comments.

This week's "What Should Go Here?" property is the former St. Croix Outpost (588 Outpost Circle) just off Exit 4 in the Town of Hudson.  The 12,960-square-foot property built in 1998 has excellent visibility from I-94 and is priced at $988,000, according to the Greystone Commercial website. The property is set up to be the main attraction of the St. Croix Outpost Retail Center. An inquiry was made recently to the Hudson Town Board about the possibility of turning the site into a used car dealership, but plans were abandoned. So, the question remains: What should go here? What Should Go Here?: Former Blockbuster Location

In What Should Go Here?, we take a look at a vacant property and ask the community what should go there. What's your vision for this week's space? Let us know in the comments.

In this week's installment of What Should Go Here?, we'll take a look at the former Blockbuster location at the high-visibility intersection of Carmichael Road and Coulee Road, just behind Target. Patch reported earlier this year that one of the three available spots in the building will be a Pro-Cuts. But that leaves two spaces of 1,300 square feet and 1,400 square feet, or one space of 2,700 square feet left to fill, according to the Mid America Real Estate's sign outside the bulding. So, the question remains: What should go here? It's probably a little too small for a Trader Joe's. Yep, traffic/parking problem controls what will, or should I say, won't go in this space. Its by far the worst design for traffic I've ever seen. Sad to see Blockbuster go. Not everyone has Netflix and Redbox blows!   more ›

What Should Go Here?: Former Perkins Location

In What Should Go Here?, we take a look at a vacant property and ask the community what should go there. What's your vision for this week's space? Let us know in the comments.

In this week's installment of What Should Go Here?, we'll take a look at the former Perkins at Dominion Drive and Crestview Drive. According to Greystone Commercial, the commercially zoned property is 1.41 acres with great visibility and accessibility from Interstate 94. The property includes a 5,480-square-foot structure built in 1984 along with a parking area. The asking price is $1.25 million. So, the question remains: What should go here? Another restaurant? A hotel? A car dealership? A grocery store? Tell us in the comments. --- Other What Should Go Here? posts: --- Like us on Facebook | Follow us on Twitter | Sign up for our daily newsletter

What Should Go Here?: Nor-Lake Building

Welcome to our new weekly feature where we take a look at a vacant property and ask the community what should go there. What's your vision for this week's space? Let us know in the comments.

For our inaugural "What Should Go Here?" feature, we'll take a look at the old Nor-Lake building on First Street.  According to Greystone Commercial, the property is 0.6 acres on a gentle slope and it's zoned for residential use. The property includes a 10,608 two-story building that was built in the 1950s, along with a parking area. The asking price is $1.25 million. So, the question remains: What should go here? Perhaps an upscale restaurant with a riverfront patio? What about loft-style luxury apartments? Maybe you'd like to see the City of Hudson purchase it to build a community center or just extend Lakefront Park. Tell us in the comments.

Feed Me! This property should be Hudson's answer to the Calhoun Beach Club! High(er) end food and drink... West-facing patio (beautiful sunsets)... Parking does seem to be a challenge however... The city is already in control of the waterfront, walking paths etc. Put a few slips out on the water for the rec boaters to tie-up to and create another great Hudson destination. It's even beautiful in …   more ›
