Eyewitness: SUV 'Swerved Sharply, Slammed' Octagon House at 'Well Over 30 MPH'

The Hudson landmark was a victim of a hit-and-run Saturday, and Michael Vitullo told KSTP-TV he saw it happen.

The SUV that crashed into Hudson's Octagon House Museum Saturday was careening at an excessive rate of speed, according to an eyewitness.

Michael Vitullo told KSTP-TV the SUV "swerved sharply, came across the lawn here, slammed into the house at well over 30 mph."

He called police but the driver ran off.

"I knew it was trouble, whoever it was," Vitullo told KSTP.
