Northern Lights: Did You See Them?

One skywatcher saw the aurora borealis from Vine Street in Hudson at about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Sounds like it was quite a show.

Northern Lights lit up the sky Tuesday evening and early Wednesday morning over Hudson and surrounding areas. People up after midnight Tuesday shared what they'd seen at the Hudson Patch Facebook page

"Just saw them from vine street. Pretty faint but still cool!!"

"Northern lights dancing on the north side of New Richmond too!"

"Beautiful to see them."

Wednesday night might be worth a try too, one commenter noted:

"Was driving home from work, Maplewood, at midnight. Very faint but they took up a lot of the sky. NOAA said, before they shutdown, that tomorrow night should be best. Hope the clouds hold off."

Actually, Wednesday night does look like it might be good too, according to the University of Alaska-Fairbanks Geophysical Institute's Aurora Forecast
