Little Caesars to Open in Hudson Mid- to Late-May

The new Little Caesars franchise is owned by Hudson area natives David and Denise Lay.

Hudson area natives David and Denise Lay hope to open their Little Caesar’s franchise in Southside Center on Crestview Drive in mid- to late-May.

The couple has been in the retail business as owners of Toy-Riffic for 17 years, Denise Lay said, but Little Caesars will be their first business in the restaurant industry.

“People are really excited about Little Caesars coming to the area,” Denise said. “Some people drive all the way to Woodbury just to get Little Caesars, and they tell us their glad now they don’t have to drive so far.”

The Lays expect to employ about 20 people at the new pizza shop.

Applications for employment are currently available at Toy-Riffic Video Game store on Coulee Road next to Applebees. A mailbox with applications will also be placed outside the Little Caesars location starting this weekend.

The idea behind Little Caesars is pizza that is always hot and ready—with every transaction happening in 30 seconds or less.

In that tradition, Denise said the Hudson location will have a pick-up window located on the side of the building.
