YT'z Trading Company Offers Carolina-Style BBQ Sauces Made Right Here in Hudson

If you haven’t heard, there are some mighty fine Carolina-style BBQ sauces and rubs being made right here in Hudson.

Chris White, owner of YT’z Trading Company, openly accepts skepticism about what a guy living in Wisconsin knows about Carolina sauces, but he also has an answer.

“I spent 24 years in the military and traveled all over the place,” White said. “Two of my favorite places on earth, besides Wisconsin, were the Carolinas.”

While stationed in the Carolinas during his career in the Military, White said he came to enjoy the flavorful tastes of Carolina BBQ from the eastern and western parts of the states.

“The flavors I experienced there were some of the best I have tasted in cooking,” White said.

Being that White loves smoke, BBQ and grill, he started creating sauces based on a family recipe passed down to him from a little known bastion called Cape Colony on the Albemarle Sound in Edenton, North Carolina.

“I have spent many a wonderful time and an awesome meal with the good folks there,” White said. “Their camaraderie through the tough times inspired me to give something back, so I created YT’z Trading Company.”

YT’z Trading Company began last October and now has a small following around the U.S. and abroad, White said. YT’z products are being used by Big Guy’s BBQ, and are being sold at Knotty Vines and Hudson Liquors.
