"Night of the Father's Love" Cantata

First Baptist Church 309 Vine Street in Hudson, invites you to celebrate the “Night of the Father’s Love” by Pepper Choplin, a Christmas Musical Celebration performed by the First Baptist Church choir in a spirit of worship Sunday, December 15 at 10:15 am and again at 7 pm.   The 30 member choir is led by conductor Cheryl Forester.  Their annual Christmas cantata is First Baptist Choir’s gift to the community and its members.

All the mystery, the awe, and the excitement of that night are imaginatively captured in a Christmas mosaic in word and song in this season’s cantata, “Night of the Father’s Love” by Pepper Choplin.  You will be guided through the Christmas story, as though hearing it again for the first time.  Three narrators interject with familiar scripture passages and personal reflections while an intriguing array of musical styles beautifully express the essence of Christmas; the gift of the Father’s love.  Refreshments will be served after the service.
