St. Croix Central Elementary School in Roberts will be shut down for the rest of the year, but it appears Roberts Police Department investigators have their suspect in hand after an arrest was made Thursday.

WCCO in the Twin Cities reports one person was arrested in connection to the Tuesday fire, which damaged the elementary school in this town just east of Hudson along Interstate 94.

Authorities Wednesday in St. Croix County offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. No word on to whom that money might have been rewarded or if it directly led to yesterday's actions.

There was evidence of forced entry on the school doors. Fire marshals estimated the loss at more than $1.5 million.

Students from St. Croix Central Elementary will be attending school at a nearby Girl Scout Camp, WCCO reports.
