David Smith Elected as New President of Hudson Area Library Board

Smith joined the board in October when he replaced a board member who moved. Former board president Roy Sjoberg still has two years left on his library board term.

The Hudson Area Library Board on Monday voted unanimously to elect Hudson resident David Smith as its new president. 

Smith is a chemical engineer and Air Force vet who grew up in Davenport, Iowa, and moved to Hudson in 1999. He joined the Hudson Area Library Board in October.

Smith replaces Roy Sjoberg as president of the seven-member board. Sjoberg still has two years left on his term with the library board.
