Little Caesars Pizza opened today in Hudson.

David and Denise Lay, also the owners of Toy-Riffic Video Games, opened up Hudson’s newest pizza shop for lunch today in Southside Center on Crestview Drive.

The couple, natives to the Hudson area, have been in the retail business as owners of Toy-Riffic for 17 years, Denise Lay told Patch back in May, but Little Caesars will be their first business in the restaurant industry.

“People are really excited about Little Caesars coming to the area,” she said at the time. “Some people drive all the way to Woodbury just to get Little Caesars, and they tell us they're glad now they don’t have to drive so far.”

The franchise employs about 20 people.

The idea behind Little Caesars is pizza that is always hot and ready—with every transaction happening in 30 seconds or less. In that tradition, Denise said the Hudson location has a pick-up window located on the side of the building.

“Technology has changed a lot and we realized that we needed to look into expanding into a different area,” Denise told the Hudson Star-Observer this week. “Everybody has to eat and that is not going away.”

Little Caesars Pizza is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
